The Voice of Virtual Worlds.  Vivox provides online games, virtual worlds and other online communities with robust, integrated voice chat.  Today, Vivox is bringing voice to over one million subscribers in more than 180 countries.


In-Game Voice Communication.  Every Xbox LIVE–enabled game that supports multiplayer gaming also supports in-game voice communication.  This means you can taunt opponents, strategize with teammates, groan in despair, and exult with a war cry—all in real time.

Giving voice to online games – and new ways to communicate:  VoIP gives voice to online games and virtual worlds.  One technology popular in the online world Second Life allows elected officials and others using a standard phone line to call into the virtual world to address virtual gatherings.  The VoIP technology allows greater collaboration and conversation.  It allows people to talk using their computer or standard phone. World of Warcraft.  Voice chat allows World of Warcrafters to talk directly to each other using a microphone or headset instead of text-based chat. With this exciting new feature, you can talk to your party, your raid group, your battleground, and even players in custom channels that you can create and moderate.


TeamSpeak is a quality, scalable application which enables people to speak with one another over the Internet. The server acts as a host to multiple client connections, capable of handling literally thousands of simultaneous users. This results in an Internet based conferencing solution that works in a variety of applications such as team mates speaking with one another while playing their favorite online game, small businesses cutting costs on long distance charges, or for personal communication with friends and family.


Skype on PSP (PlayStation Portable).  PSP users worldwide are now able to user any wifi connection to make free voice calls between Skype users, see whose online, make SkypeOut calls to make calls to landlines and mobile phones anywhere in the world and optionally use a SkypeIn number to receive calls on Skype from landlines and mobiles anywhere in the world.

Surround Sound Voice.  Ventrilo is VoIP group communications software. By offering surround sound positioning and special sound effects on a per user, per channel, per server or global configuration level the program provides each user the option to fully customize exactly how they wish to hear sounds from other users or events.


Zork meets VoIP – ZoiP.  Do you miss the good 'ole days of text based computer games? Simon Ditner recently created a game called Zoip (a blending of Zork and VoIP) which brings back to life the original Infocom game Zork. Zork, a text-based game, was originally a difficult game which relied on your imagination and ability to solve word puzzles in order to succeed. Zoip utilizes Asterisk coupled with speech recognition and text-to-speech technology to play the Zork game.
